Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is the world’s largest nonprofit association for professional photographers, with more than 20,000 members in 54 countries.
Part of PPA's mission and vision statements is to "...define and maintain the industry’s standards of excellence", as well as "...to create a global perspective that promotes... creativity foremost and excellence always."
How cool is that?!?
Seriously though, PPA membership means a lot to me, and hopefully means a lot to you as a potential or returning client. It's an indication of commitment and expertise on my part that many other photographers simply have not made, for whatever reason.
